DAMAC Owner Hussain Sajwani’s Contribution to Dubai’s Prosperity

Hussain Sajwani, an Emirati and an influential Arab, is the founder, Chief Executive Officer and the Chairman of DAMAC Properties. DAMAC Properties is based in Dubai and is known for its real estate development projects. Damac Properties is also recognized internationally. This, therefore, puts Mr. Sajwani in the top rank of successful businesspeople with the ability to run successful international businesses.

According to akhbarak.net, Hussain Sajwani attained a degree from the University of Washington where he specialized in Economics. He began his career in GASCO as a Contracts Manager. After working in GASCO, a subsidiary of ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company), Hussain Sajwani decided to put up his businesses. Afterward, in 1982, Hussain Sajwani used his business ideas to develop a venture in catering. In the middle of the year 1990, Hussain Sajwani noticed the growing influx of non- Emirate individuals in Dubai who came with the purpose of doing business and trading. He then established many hotels for their accommodation.

In 2002, Hussain Sajwani established DAMAC Properties. He used his knowledge as an economist to identify the business opportunity by taking advantage of the decree of the Dubai government that allowed foreigners to possess property in the emirate. He identified non-Emirates as potential buyers of his fully developed apartments. Later on, Hussain Sajwani partnered with Donald Trump to pursue more business adventures.

His relationship with Donald Trump was not only business oriented but also family oriented. Their partnership involved their families too. During the New Year’s Eve speech in Mar-a-Lago resort located in Florida, Trump supported their strong relationship by terming Hussain Sajwani family as the most beautiful people. Furthermore, Abbas, Mr. Sajwani’s son, uploaded images of their visit to Florida in the social media.

In the business deal, DAMAC Properties built the Trump International Course Dubai. Additionally, the two tycoons have also decided to work together on the Trump International Golf Club where their estimated cost in sales is almost $2 billion. Hussain Sajwani and the DAMAC Properties aim at supporting the people of Dubai with the intention of improving their standards of living. The Damac owner, therefore, donated AED 1 Million in the UAE compassion campaign to help support refugees in Lebanon and Jordan.
